Limited Edition Six Piece Turning Tool Set - Celebrating 25 Years of Turners Retreat

This is Robert Sorby’s flagship set, but with a difference. The handles are made from Sherwood Forest Oak and engraved with Turners Retreat.

Suitable for anyone into turning, from beginners through to professionals. We strongly believe that anyone starting out turning should buy the best tools they can afford. 843H 3/4" Spindle roughing gouge - turns square to round, a real work horse
840H 3/8" Spindle gouge - details spindle work
842H 3/8" Bowl gouge - makes light work of the hardest material and will quickly turn bowls
810H 3/4" Standard skew chisel - modified this year to provide a slightly rolled edge to help guard against catching an edge, this tool still retains much of its weight making it an ideal choice for larger spindle work, such as newel posts and table legs
Parting tool - for parting off work and great for detailing
820H 1/2" Round nose scraper - just the job for bowls and platters

These amazing, chameleon colour-shift mica powders have been chosen to give you a vibrant selection of striking colours to use in your work, and are what Emma Cook 'The Tiny Turner' uses to give her textured, banded bowls their stunning finish.

Please note: each colour has a slightly different volume due to the different densities of that particular colour

Each pack contains 0.5g of the following colours:

'Inferno' - deep orange to gold shift
'Arcane' - teal to vibrant purple shift
'Aether' - dark green to blue shift
'Poison' - deep pink to orange and green shift
'Nature' - grassy green to gold shift
'Nether' - dark blue/purple to deep red shift

The powders can be used as a colouring technique using metal leaf size (eg. Acrylic Size) as a base to adhere the flakes on to your work. They can be used with resin (although they are better bring brushed into moulds or onto surfaces and then coated with resin as they go grey if mixed in with resin), and they can be used for cosmetic purposes such as nail art.
