"The first watch insert I received unfortunately had a fault but Turners Retreat replaced it very swiftly, enclosing a pre-paid return sticker and packaging for the faulty item as well. I have bought many, many items before and this was the first time I've had to do this so it was just sheer bad luck and bound to happen to happen sooner or later with the amount of items I've had. The replacement works perfectly and looks very smart. The blue face with the surrounding gold finish is visually striking on its own but I set it in an old piece of oak and the two really complement each other. The watch is a little larger than a 'wristwatch' size and can be read from a short distance so could easily be used as a small mantle clock. Mine is going to be used in a child's bedroom on a dressing table so will also work well as a timepiece and an ornament, thanks to the juxtaposition of modern timepiece and old oak. Very smart. I've had excellent pieces, items and service from Turners Retreat and cannot fault them for prices, quality, service and customer relations. I heard recently that they'll be opening a store in Sheffield, which isn't that far from me (maybe an hour and a half or so) and definitely worth a visit so I can browse at leisure. "
