Enter the world of pyrography at Turners Retreat!

Held at our store in Harworth, near Doncaster, this is a one-day hands on course with our pyrography tutor, Kez Halliday (Instagram: @spiritandbear). This course is suitable for beginners wishing to have a safe and enjoyable introduction into a new hobby, but with the ability to tailor the course to help you advance from a novice to a more experienced pyrographer.

Learn how to setup tools safely and master essential techniques such as texturing, shading and finishing to add a personal touch to a range of decorative items. You will have the opportunity to use different points on a hot wire machine to find which ones work best for you. Plus, at the end of the course, you get to take your work of art home with you!

What you need to bring

Hot drinks and bottled water will be available.

We also advise that you wear comfortable shoes and clothing.

Times

The day runs from 10am to 4pm with a break in the middle for lunch. We ask that you try to arrive between 9:30am - 9:45am to meet the other students and have an initial chat with your tutor before the course begins.

Parking

Free on-site parking is available.

Book your place

In order to ensure a high ratio of student/mentor time, our pyrography courses are limited to a maximum of five students, ensuring each student has enough personal space and receives the maximum help and assistance necessary. Places are sold on a first come, first served basis. We advise that you book early to avoid disappointment!
