Sharpening Course

Sharpen your favourite tools at Turners Retreat!

Held at our store near Doncaster, this is a half day instructional, hands on course suitable for all abilities. During this 3 hour session, you will learn how to sharpen your tools correctly, new techniques and have the opportunity to ask our specialist instructor any questions you may have. So, why not give it a go? Fetch a few of your tools in and have a go at sharpening them because the better the edge, the better your work will be!

Our facilities include all personal safety protection and our fully insured workshop is equipped with dust extraction systems. All materials required for the course are included.

To top off this excellent course, you will also receive a 10% discount off selected products you wish to buy from our store on the day!

What you need to bring

Your desire to learn!
Your tools that need sharpening
Your own refreshments

Hot drinks and bottled water will be available.

We also advise that you wear comfortable, sturdy shoes and clothing.

Times

We have morning sessions available that run from 9:30am - 12:30pm. Afternoon sessions run from 1pm - 4pm. We ask that you try to arrive approximately 15 minutes before the course is due to start so you can familiarise yourself with the safety precautions in-store, meet the other students and have an initial chat with your tutor before the course begins.

Free on-site parking is available.

Book your place

In order to ensure a high ratio of student/mentor time, our Sharpening courses are limited to a maximum of three students, ensuring each student has enough personal space and receives the maximum help and assistance necessary. Places are sold on a first come, first served basis. We advise that you book early to avoid disappointment!

"My friend and i booked the sharpening course to learn how to use the ProEdge properly. the pre course calls meant that they could change the course to suit our needs as we are both visually impaired.
