Wild Mango
Product Description
A stunning deep cream coloured wood with golden undertones that creates its own ambience. The heartwood has a colour yellow brown to nut brown with a subtle but attractive grain pattern. It sandpapers well and also takes varnish and oils well. It is used for furniture, flooring, turning and carving and often used for making African drums.

"Hello ,
I've been using your square blanks for a while now to make clock bases and backing.. The wild mango comes up to a nice finish just with several coats of acrylic sealer and a polish. It is a good heavy wood to work with. I use it also for little boxes and it holds a thread well.

"Great wood to turn, but it's a tough wood to turn need good shape tools. Well worth it though, really nice grain and nice lustre finish just using shavings to polish"
